Therapy provides a safe, supportive place for you to talk about circumstances that cause distress in your life and stop you from meeting your full potential.  Together, we will transform pain and other emotional distress into hope, strength, positive change, and achievement.   With that being said, it is not a “one size fits all” approach.  Every client is unique and it is my job to be creative and figure out how you learn best, your views, your values, your perspective, etc. and adjust the therapeutic process to fit your needs. 

I have training and experience in the use of various evidence-based therapies, such as motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive based therapy, mindfulness, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy, just to name a few.  I utilize these therapies, and like a fine art, I’ll weave them in and out of our sessions as needed.  My treatment approach encourages transparency, value-driven decision making, self-compassion, acceptance, and a touch of humor. 

When we are all done with therapy, your soul will be at peace and you will have realized that you have held this power inside of you all along.  This power is your potential to reclaim your life and live it the way you want to! And best of all, you will feel empowered to do so!
